Castle Hedingham Parish Council believes that the village would benefit from a 20mph speed limit where pedestrians mix with traffic, and has adopted the 20s Plenty pledge.

The benefits of 20mph are clear: better for children, better for the elderly, better for disabled people, better for pedestrians and better for cyclists. 20mph reduces road casualties and emissions, makes it more likely that people will walk or cycle and has almost no effect on journey times for those in motor vehicles.

Your answers will help us communicate with Essex County Council as they review their speed management strategy in 2024.
