Report of the meeting of the Parish Council of Castle Hedingham held on Wednesday, 11th March 2009 issued by the Clerk

Traffic Issues:  The speed gun continues to be in operation.

Churchyard Footpath:  All necessary approvals have now been received. Discussions are underway with the contractor on the specification for the works.

Memorial Hall Window: The final stage of works, glazing, is now underway.

War Memorial: A contractor to carry out restoration work has been identified. Advice from  the War Memorials Trust on funding is awaited.

Highways: A meeting is to be held with Essex County Council on options to improve compliance with the 7.5  lorry weight restriction through the village.

Essex County Council  Highways have been asked to investigate water drainage problems on Rosemary Lane and the lane to Gt Maplestead near to Coppingdown Farm.

Graveyard: Work to fill and seed  two recent graves that have sunk has been commissioned.

Garden Waste Collections: In Kirby Hall Road, 4 April, 16 May, 20 June, 18 July, 15 August, 19 September, 17 October and 14 November.
