Council - One application to fill the vacancy on the Parish Council was received at the applicant has been co-opted onto the council.
Telephone Boxes - The Parish Council has received interest from a group based at the Bell PH that wishes to “adopt“ the phone box in St James Street. The Parish Council will now have discussions with this group to agree detail prior to an approach to BT.
Planning - The Parish Council has been advised that the development at Tradewinds, Kirby Hall Road, is subject to investigation and necessary action by the Enforcement Officer at Braintree District Council.
Highway Matters - The Parish council noted that St James Street is to be closed for 7 days for cable laying from 25 June. The Parish Council decided to withdraw from the Community Speedwatch scheme as the speed gun has very rarely been available and there was little evidence of follow up action by the police.
