Report of the meeting of the Parish Council of Castle Hedingham held on Monday, 9th January 2012 issued by the Clerk

Cemetery - A memorial oak has been planted in the cemetery. Work to remove accumulated rubbish and spoil has been completed. Minor works to provision of water have been commissioned.

National Grid Bramford to Twinstead Project - The Parish Council continues to actively oppose National Grid’s plans for pylons and potential siting of a large substation within the parish.

Queen's Jubilee - The bench on Forge Green in the village is to be replaced. A beacon has also been ordered. It will be sited on a high point in the village.

Planning - The Parish Council has made contribution to the formulation of the Braintree District Council Local Development Framework. The parish council has identified no new sites within the parish for development.

Next Meeting -  Parish council 19:45, 13th February 2012, at the Memorial Hall.
