Churchyard Footpath - A programme and start date for the works to repair the footpath are awaited from the contractor.
Memorial Hall Window - All works have now been completed to a very good standard.
Highways - A meeting has been held with Essex County Council – Highways and Trading Standards, to identify options to improve compliance with the 7.5 lorry weight restriction through the village. Discussions are now to be held with neighbouring parishes and a joint proposal for changes on the weight limit on the B1058 put forward to Essex County Council.
Youth Hostel Signs - Essex County Council Highways has been asked to remove tourist signage to the now closed Youth Hostel.
Double parking in Falcon Square - Parking in Falcon Square remains a concern, with access obstructed on occasions. This would be a very serious problem should emergency vehicles be delayed and all are asked to park with proper consideration and thought.
Churchyard - An application for a faculty authorising work to repair two tombs has been sent to Chelmsford Diocese.
Unpleasant Smells, vicinity sewage pumping station Nunnery Street - A meeting has been held with Anglian Water. It said it has no history of problems at this site and no faults were apparent at the time of the meeting. Anglia Water has asked that any future problems be reported to it immediately they occur by parishioners, Parish Council.
Road Sweeping - Will take place on 17th June, 9th September and 19th November 2009, and 18th March 2010. Parishioners are encouraged to park elsewhere on these dates to allow sweepers clear access to road channels.
