St Nicholas Church Clock: The pulleys of the clock will be removed next Monday 20th February 2023 by Smith of Derby, and taken to their Derby workshop for refurbishment. The clock will be left to wind down over this weekend to enable the pulleys to be safely removed. This maintenance work is necessary to fix the timekeeping problems we experienced last year. The Parish Council takes responsibility for the church clock as the only public timepiece in the village and the cost of the work is £2,728.00 which will be funded from Parish Council reserves.
