Gatherings

On Monday 14 September social gatherings of more than six people became illegal.

Whether meeting people indoors or outdoors, this can only be with a maximum of six people.

Exemptions include:

  • If the number of people you live with or are in your support bubble is more than six
  • Education / work places
  • Wedding / funerals
  • Gyms / Organised team sports (where guidelines are being followed)

Guidance around social distancing, hand hygiene and wearing face coverings remains unchanged. Let's remember to continue Hands. Face. Space.

NHS Test and Trace App QR Code

The government is launching a new app to support NHS Test and Trace in England and Wales on the 24 September.

Part of this app will include a built-in QR scanner to quickly and easily check-in at venues. The app will then allow people to know more quickly if they are at risk of the virus, so they can take action fast to protect their families, friends and communities.

Ahead of the launch of the app all businesses are asked to visit the gov.uk website and create their own QR code poster.

Not sure whether you should have a coronavirus test?

If you have symptoms, you must get a test and self-isolate.

If you don’t have symptoms, don’t get a test.

There is now a very high demand for coronavirus tests and we all need to play our part to protect the NHS Test and Trace service for those who really need it.
