Links

I've tried to list links to some of the most useful relevant sites here. I'll often be happy to add a link for you, but not if your site has no real connection to the village or its history, I'm afraid. Please also contact me if you find a dead link.

Hedingham Castle - the official website; use this especially if you're planning a visit.

Essex County Council / English Heritage report - Historic Towns in Essex, Castle Hedingham - This is an excellent document which is, in my opinion, the most accurate account of the village's development. This is a PDF document - use the button below to download Adobe Reader if you don't already have it.

I have begun to play with Google Sketchup, and have created a virtual model of the keep at Hedingham Castle which can be loaded in Google Earth. It's a bit basic (at least at the moment) because I haven't the patience to tweak what I've done, but feel free to download my creation (zip file).
